Mad Millie Vegetable Culture
Unless you grow your own vegetables in a pesticide-free manner or you buy certified "organicly produced" vegetables you may find that the naturally occurring, beneficial bacteria are not adequately present with supermarket vegetables.
Adding Vegetable Fermenting Culture will put back needed beneficial bacteria and give your fermented vegetables a boost.
Mad Millie Fermented Vegetable Culture is a freeze dried mixed strain culture containing:
Lactoccus lactis subsp. cremoris
Lactoccus lactis subsp.lactis
Lactoccus lactis subsp. diacetylactis
This is great to use when making Sauerkraut, Kimchi or other fermented vegetables with your Mad Millie Fermenting Crock. This provides a faster more reliable fermentation.
A pack has 5 sachets, each sachet treats approximately 2 kg of vegetables. Treats 10kg in total
Store culture in the freezer to extend shelf life.
Note: Culture contains dairy.
When stored correctly freeze dried lactic cultures are typically viable long after any date on the pack.
